Purpose and legal basis of data processing

The World Wide Web site of the Personal Data Protection Officer of the CNR contains tools and information relating to the issue of the processing of personal data in the context of the activities carried out by the Body. Your personal data is processed for the sole purpose of guaranteeing the security and functionality of the site, therefore the processing is conducted in the legitimate interest of the owner on the basis of the provisions of art. 6, par. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Types of data processed and processing methods

The personal data collected concern navigation data normally received from the HTTP service (such as IP address, operating system and any other data normally passed from the client to the server via the HTTP protocol). The data is received and stored through the so-called “logfiles” of the service.

This site does’t use technical cookies

Cookies are portions of codes transmitted by the server to the client and which the latter uses in subsequent sessions of access to the site to identify itself. This site does not use cookies.

Data storage

Your data will be kept for the sole purpose of guaranteeing the security of the site for a period not exceeding 6 months.

Transfert to third countries or international organizations

Personal data is not communicated or disclosed to third parties in any way or for any reason or transferred to third countries or international organisations.

User Rights

With reference to the processing of personal data, the interested party has the right to:

  • access your data;
  • object to the processing of your data;
  • obtain the cancellation or removal of your personal data;
  • propose a complaint to the competent personal data protection supervisory authority or act in court pursuant to articles 77 and 79 of the GDPR.

Given the nature of the data (only log files) it is not possible to request their updating or correction.
